Who are we?
We are a community-driven initiative committed to building a strong and supportive network for immigrants across the European Union through an informative online platform. Our mission is to empower immigrants by increasing awareness of their rights, providing clear and reliable information, and helping individuals better understand the political, legal, and social systems within the EU. We recognize that many immigrants face uncertainty, misinformation, and exclusion, which is why we place a strong emphasis on transparency, education, and inclusion. A central pillar of our work is combating disinformation and harmful narratives about immigrants that often fuel fear, discrimination, and social division. We actively share verified information, debunk false or misleading claims, and address common myths through digital content and open discussions. By creating spaces for political dialogue—particularly for young people, but open to anyone willing to participate—we encourage critical thinking, respectful debate, and democratic engagement. Our presence on social media such as TikTok allows us to reach wider audiences, communicate in accessible formats, and respond directly to trending narratives and current events. We aim to strengthen a sense of belonging and civic involvement among immigrants and youth. By empowering individuals with knowledge and a voice, we seek to uphold human dignity, promote social cohesion, and contribute to more inclusive, informed, and democratic societies throughout the European Union.
We believe that integration begins with access to knowledge and the feeling of not being alone in an unfamiliar environment. MigrantConnectEU was created to bridge the gap between official information and the real, everyday questions immigrants face when arriving in a new country. Beyond providing guidance on rights and procedures, we aim to create a sense of community where people can share experiences, ask questions, and support one another across borders. Through our website, social media platforms, and Telegram channels divided by country, we connect individuals living in different parts of the European Union while reinforcing the common values that unite them. By encouraging informed dialogue, promoting media literacy, and responding to misinformation with facts and respect, we transform online spaces into opportunities for learning and democratic participation. Our goal is not only to inform, but to build a network where immigrants and young Europeans can engage, feel represented, and actively contribute to inclusive societies grounded in dignity, equality, and mutual understanding. We also collaborate with official sources, civil society organizations, and publicly available EU resources to ensure that the information shared is accurate, practical, and up to date. By presenting complex legal and administrative topics in simple and understandable language, we make essential knowledge accessible to people regardless of their background or level of education.
